Hello to all of my friends and followers – I apologize for my long absence from this forum – you could say that I entered into a deep existential crisis of sorts – after the death of my brother – now two years gone – other life altering events also occurred within a short period of time and thus I was tossed into a veritable downward spiral – a figurative vortex – a whirlpool if you will of epic proportions! I was forced to confront some very serious situations – however, rather than lament my so-called misfortunes – I have decided to extricate myself from this vortex and jump straight back into life – such as it is – to that end I offer up the following – in hopes that others who may find themselves in similar situations may discover solace in my words – so please – feel free to read on and I appreciate your continued support despite my prolonged absence – So Carry On, Carry On – my fellow travelers . . .
The Journey Through Consciousness
The Journey through Consciousness is never a road that occurs in a straight line – rather it is a meandering path that leads us through endless valleys and rolling hills. Whether we travel the Highlands or the Lowlands we find that the road is constantly twisting and turning – often times tossing us to and fro. At times we may have to traverse rivers, lakes, and even oceans – at other times we must climb the highest peaks in order to come out on the other side. We may be confronted with Magnificent verdant vistas teeming with life – we also come across dark desolate deserts seemingly devoid of life altogether. After-all – as the saying well goes: “Into every life a little rain must fall.” However – we mustn’t lament the rain – for in the aforementioned desert – whenever there is a rain fall – that is when the desert comes suddenly to life! All of the little creatures that dwell in this barren existence will exit their burrows and lairs in order to partake of this life-giving nectar – Water – the Elixir of life! Even the Cacti and Succulents which supposedly need very little water to survive look forward to this rainfall in order to store up once again for the dry season.
So too, do we as human beings find life anew through the rain. Though we may grouse about the rain from time to time – we also realize that rain is highly important – for it is the rain that cleanses the parched Earth and makes everything fresh and new once again. Have you ever been in a desert after the rain? Have you ever had the pleasure of inhaling the sweet, sweet aroma of the air after it rains – for me – having been born in El Paso, Texas – the sweet smell of the desert after it rains is highly invigorating! I can feel the immense sense of peace and serenity that ensues after a good rain fall. I imagine it so in the Rain Forests around the world as well – Here are the verdant vistas teeming with life which I had mentioned earlier. I cannot imagine anyone complaining about the rain in such environments – it would seem anathema to existence itself!
Nevertheless – we are human after-all – and complaining seems to be in our nature – we truly are a “stiff-necked People” indeed! However – you must come to one certain realization about yourself which applies to all, and that is: You are NOT a Mortal Human Being – Rather – You are an Immortal Being Human – the distinction is clear – the Journey through Consciousness is one that we as Immortals have taken on in order to learn about ourselves and who we truly are. Death is an inevitable part of life – yet Death is only the beginning – it is not an ending as many would assume. Of course it is difficult to lose a loved one – especially if that loved one was still young – or was lost through unfortunate circumstances such as illness or accident – but the “living” continue on the journey – knowing we have to – even if it’s just to keep the memories alive – of all those who have passed on before us. We are here for but a short time in the grand scheme of things – we are but a mere parenthesis within the entirety of existence – however, within each parenthesis – a lifetime has been planned and executed; and in this way we continue to weave the “Tale of Life.” History as we know it is not only this meager existence here on this planet we call earth – or even in the grand Cosmos which we call a Universe! History is literally the Aether (Ether) from which ALL of life emerges – whether it be planets, and suns, and moons, be it nebulae and black holes and the like – the entirety of existence is alive through this Field which we call Consciousness.
Consequently, the Journey through Consciousness doesn’t just entail this small existence – rather it involves the Spiritual existence as well. You may very well consider this – what we are currently living – a simulation of sorts – because the real “You” which is “All That Is” – is merely expressing itself as “All That Is” in order to experience itself from differing perspectives – being a Human, or a plant, or an animal – or even a galaxy, a constellation, or a Universe. It is All One! Oneness is the State of Being of Existence – as the drop of water is to the ocean – so are we to the entirety of Existence. Just because a drop of water can and is an individual – it does not preclude the fact that each individual drop constitutes the entire ocean and that the entire ocean constitutes each individual drop! You cannot have one without the other – it is impossible. Therefore – let us NOT get caught up in the “seeming” adversities of life – rather we should embrace these adversities as life-giving – similar to the way Rain water is life-giving to the desert. For as the saying goes: “That which does not kill you – makes you stronger!” And always remember that Death is not an ending but a beginning – a beginning of a whole new chapter of existence – a bit frightening perhaps – maybe even daunting – yet a necessary part of living and growing and evolving.
Along this meandering path you may come across many many crossroads and even an impasse or two – however – we must carry on – the impetus to do so moves us along in this Journey Through Consciousness . . .
PEACE!
